Cleaning out the attic, chasing ghosts Found your name where it mattered most A photo smiling, stood together Thought we'd stand right there forever

I can still hear the laughter echo down the halls Passing notes, late-night calls But the years have come and gone And it's clear that we've moved on

I guess people drift apart Spread our wings, travel far A friendship we gave and rarely took And now I think of you when I hold this yearbook

Flipping pages, I can hear your voice A soundtrack of a world where we had no choice We built castles out of paper and dreams Now it feels so distant, like fading movie scenes

Do you still remember the songs we used to play? Or has time swept those moments away? The ink has faded but the feelings stay Like shadows of a brighter day

Do you ever think of me when you see a memory? The inside jokes, the plans we made The promises we let time fade And maybe we were just a chapter, nothing more But I'll always wonder what we closed that door for
